On the 24th of May 2018, Arts for India held a fund raising event, ‘Supporting the Arts’ at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly, London.
Philanthropists, celebrities and renowned personalities from the world of art, fashion, education and cinema participated in the event and offered their support to the charity.
The Auction of donated art and other items added on to the funds raised that evening – to help needy young artists in India to get higher education in the fields of art, fashion, design and cinema.
At the event, the Dayawati Modi Global Awards were also presented to a few distinguished people for their contributions in the fields of Art, Culture, Education and Philanthropy. The awardees for 2018 were Paul Golding, Fischer Cherry and Rachel Shenton.
The Royal Drawing School, London, also put up an exhibition and sale of beautiful paintings by alumni of the School who had earlier taught at the International Institute of Fine Arts, India. The works of art on display were appreciated by all present at the event.
Overall, a very successful event that went on to raise awareness and funds for underprivileged students in India – to help them get the education they deserve.
